Run for Amma 2016

Thanks to a fractured second metatarsal, I had to take a support role in what was to be my first ultramarathon, the 2016 Run for Amma 50k. I met Race Director Mike Kreadon at the Russian Ridge parking lot at about 815 Saturday morning.

After setting up a couple of tables and laying out the aid station we took the car to Montebello parking lot trailhead cross from from Alpine Road dirt. I parked while Mike took some flags to a section of trail check a section of trail that we thought maybe close for the season unexpectedly unexpectedly closed.

With a huge grin, Mike came trotting back giving the thumbs-up. “We’re a go!”
