My hard-earned and inspiring view from the #SandPointOverlook in #NiseneMarks #StatePark. After nearly 2500′ elevation-gain, the gnarly and close, singletrack, #WestRidgeTrail levels off onto a breezy sandstone outcropping, proud of it’s view across the #MontereyBay. What goes up, must come down, however. The greatest challenge of the day laid in using my hams and glutes to climb 10 miles to the top, then switching to hammering my quads and knees for 10 more miles downhill on the #AptosCreek #FireRoad.
